Learning about Solar Panel Installation for Solar Energy by Jennifer
French physicist, A.E. Becquerel’s discovery of the photovoltaic effect in 1839 has grown into a global initiative to utilize renewable and sustainable energy via the solar panel. From its introduction to the public sector via solar powered calculators and space satellites in the 1970s, it’s been a rocky road up until now for solar proponents. In light of the growing advantages of using this clean form of energy, (especially as fossil fuel deposits run at peak production limits now and new demands for energy sources grow), it should spark renewed interest among consumers to move confidently forward with green initiatives by changing to sustainable solar energy sources. Many people are interested in learning more about solar panel installation as they calculate costs in converting their homes to solar energy. Prices are become more and more affordable every year and domestic use has never been so popular
The premise of solar energy, or photovoltaic effect, is the panel facing the sun and collecting light energy, or photons, through the solar cells within the panel. They are then absorbed by the cell and transferred to the electron in the cell generating an electric current. The direct current source of electricity (DC) gets inverted into the alternating current source of electricity (AC) and then hooked up to power a building. The process begins with the solar panel installation which is mounted on rooftops, buildings tops or free standing mounting, and should not have any object that blocks the sun’s light or shadows casting on the solar panels. After the installation is completed, you’ll need to do the delicate and potentially dangerous job of wiring the panels to the DC power/AC inverter.
With the danger of wiring DC to AC inverters, amateurs face potential hazard to themselves. Most manufacturers will include solar panel installation as part of their package, and this is generally recommended.
About the Author
Taking the first step to install solar panels is a big one. But if you are serious about solar panel installation then now is your time to start looking. Prices are falling and domestic solar panels are here to stay.
